PSA successfully delivers HSCM executive education programme with Strathmore Business School

PSA’s first training cycle of 2018 has closed after two successful Health Supply Chain Management training programmes.
In June, PSA was in Abuja, Nigeria to train officials from Gombe, Kaduna and Niger States for HSCM course. The programme was an important step in their respective Supply Chain Transformation projects and it was an opportunity for knowledge exchange between states. It helped participants understand the key drivers of supply chain in their own states which led them to draft their desired supply chain design. They committed to work on this design as part of the Transformation. The programme was well received by the officials, many of whom stated it exceeded their expectations.

One week later, PSA partnered with Strathmore Business School (SBS) to host the executive education programme in Nairobi, Kenya with participants from eight countries, including Cameroon, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria and Sudan. Strathmore’s own Prof Gilbert Kokwaro and Dr Joseph Onyango joined the room for short lectures.
Following the recent win of the Outstanding Achievement in Supply Chain Award for its contributions to South-South Knowledge Exchange at the 3rd Health & Humanitarian Supply Chain Summit, KEMSA opened its doors once again to our programme participants. Senior officials took the group through the KEMSA operations, most importantly the warehousing where the participants learnt about Good Storage and Distribution Practice.
